All ACM publications, including those from ACM-sponsored conferences, are 100% Open Access. Authors can publish via the ACM Open institutional model or by paying Article Processing Charges (APCs). As more than 3,000 institutions are already part of ACM Open, the majority of ACM-sponsored conference papers will not require APCs. Authors from institutions not participating in ACM Open will need to pay an APC unless they qualify for a financial or discretionary waiver.
To support the transition to ACM’s Open Access model, ACM has approved subsidized APC rates for calendar year 2027: $500 for ACM/SIG members and $750 for non-members — a 29% discount off list pricing. Please consult the list of participating institutions in ACM Open and the APC Waivers and Discounts Policy to see whether an APC applies to your article.
